Overview - Varanasi Tour

Varanasi is one of the oldest cities in the world. With a history that goes back thousands of years, it has remained a spiritual and religious center for Indian civilization. Our Varanasi Tour package attempts to offer you a glimpse into the culture, history and legacy of this ancient city.

Varanasi remained for centuries a cradle for two oldest religions, Hinduism and Buddhism. There are many important religious sites of Hindus and Buddhists, sacred and worth visiting.

On this trip you will start off by visiting the sacred ghats and temples in the shore of River Ganges or Ganga. Ganga is perhaps the most sacred river for Hindus. Explore the temples of Kashi Vishwanath, Annapurna and Sankat Mochan among others. Take a side trip to Ramnagar Fort, the 17th century royal palace which is now a museum.

The second leg of your tour is to Sarnath. Now Sarnath is the most sacred and significant spot in the life of Buddha. In fact it is the spot where Buddha is said to have given his first sermon under a Bodhi tree. Visit this sanctimonious site to pay respects to Buddha.

All our Indian trips are organized in close coordination with local tour operators and local tour guides. We take care of your necessary logistics including transportation, accommodation, visa and required permits. You can either choose our popular programs or have a bespoke itinerary designed for you according to your interests.
